Bio fungicides use beneficial microorganisms to suppress and outcompete pathogenic fungi in the soil and on plant surfaces. Trichoderma species colonise root zones, produce antifungal metabolites, and directly parasitise disease-causing fungi like Fusarium, Pythium, and Rhizoctonia. Pseudomonas fluorescens produces siderophores and antibiotics that suppress a wide range of foliar and soil pathogens.
