Carrot is a root crop, so the focus shifts from rhizome bulking to root development, size, color, and quality.

What to use, stage by stage

Stage 1: Soil Health & Land Preparation (Before Sowing)
Products to use
  • Carrots need loose

  • Apply TSB-99 @ 2 kg/acre through soil near the seed zone after sowing.
  • Light irrigation to maintain moisture. Avoid waterlogging to prevent rotting.

Stage 3: Germination & Early Vegetative Stage
15–40 Days

  • Nacro Gold – Spray 2 L/200 L water every 10 days as per label.
  • Humic Flakes – Potassium Humate 98% – Apply 2–3 kg/acre.
  • Seaweed Powder – Apply 2–3 kg/acre.
  • Maintain adequate moisture for germination and leaf growth.

Stage 4: Root Initiation & Development Stage
40–70 Days
Products to use
  • Nacro Fert 13:40:13 – Apply 5 kg/acre through fertigation.
  • Calcium Nitrate – Apply 5 kg/acre for cell wall strength and crack-free roots.
  • Nacro Shakthi – Drip 1–2 L/100 L water every 7–10 days.
  • Nacro Shakthi – Drip 5 L/200 L water every 7–10 days as per recommendation.
  • Mr. Nacro – Spray 1 g/100 L water.
Purpose

Promotes taproot elongation and thickening.

Stage 5: Root Bulking Stage
70–90 Days
Products to use
  • Nacro Fert 12:61:00 – Apply 5 kg/acre through fertigation.

  • Carbon Pro – Spray 1 L/100 L water.
  • Maintain regular irrigation. Avoid excess water to prevent forking and cracking.

Supports root bulking and weight gain.

Stage 6: Root Maturity & Quality Stage
90–120 Days
Products to use
  • Nacro Fert 00:52:34 – Apply 5 kg/acre.
  • Nacro Fert 13:00:45 – Apply 5 kg/acre for color and sugar content.
  • Nacro Shakthi – Through drip 5 L/200 L water every 7–10 days as per recommendation.
Purpose

Supports final root enlargement and weight.
Improves color, sweetness, and market quality.
Enhances nutrient utilization.
Produces well-developed, marketable carrots.

Stage 7: Pre-Harvest & Maturity Stage
120–140 Days
Products to use
  • Nacro Fert 00:00:50 – Apply 5 kg/acre for dry matter and storage quality.
  • Carbon Pro – Spray 1 L/100 L water if recommended.
  • Reduce irrigation 7–10 days before harvest for easy digging and better storage.
Purpose

Supports final root filling.
Improves shelf life and quality.
Helps achieve uniform maturity.
Produces clean, marketable roots.

Stage 8: Pest & Disease Management – As Required
Products to use
  • TSB-99 – Apply 1 kg/100 L water for disease management as per label. Main issues: leaf blight
  • root rot.
  • Combo Pro (BVM) – Spray 1 kg/100 L water for biological pest management.
  • Nacro 07 – Spray 2–3 L/100 L water against aphids

  • Monitor field regularly and use registered crop-protection products only.

Stage 9: Harvest Stage

  • Carrot is harvested when roots reach desired size
